Trinity Unit of St. Joseph's Care Center

Trinity Living Center is a community dedicated to caring for seniors with memory loss. This special residence is designed to care exclusively for residents with Alzheimer’s Disease or other forms of memory impairments.

For those with memory loss, comfort can be found in a fulfilling and loving atmosphere where memories hold a connection to our past. Reminiscing activities in the living center are designed to evoke pleasant memories and meaningful social interaction.

Features:

• A cozy, home-like environment where each resident feels secure to walk freely throughout the living center. Residents are encouraged to bring in plants, pictures, and other items from home to personalize their rooms and help them to connect with their pasts.
• A kitchenette that provides opportunities for supervised cooking activities.
• Nursing staff is specially trained in working with memory-impaired residents and in meeting their special needs.
• Caring for the body, mind and spirit -the holistic approach- improves self-esteem, a feeling of usefulness and contributes to effective behavior management.
• A full range of specialized activities, specifically designed for the living center, are planned daily. Trinity residents also have the opportunity to attend supervised activities outside the living center. Entertainment and special events ranging from musicians, pet therapy, church and school groups to games and special family celebrations.
• Residents are accompanied on outdoor walks whenever weather permits and offered periodic outings.
• Pet visits are encouraged (a list of current vaccinations is required).
• Both catholic and protestant services, as well as other pastoral care offerings, are available to those residents who have such interest.
• We encourage family members to visit, interact, and provide input on care and services.
